About the Faces of Pride Campaign

Every great brand stands for something, and for Progressive Insurance, that something is progress. No better evidence of that than Progressive’s Faces of Pride Tour. It started with a print campaign, featuring hard-to-find vintage gay and lesbian photography, and the line: “Being ahead of your time is never easy.” And from there, we wanted to bring the idea to life, so Arnold partnered with Progressive to create the Faces of Pride Tour throughout the United States. Progressive built Superstore installations in LA, Boston, Columbus, NYC, San Francisco, Chicago, and Atlanta where guests were professionally photographed as a face of pride. Our R&D team created software that used face tracking to find eyes in a person and seamlessly morphed photos together. As the faces of pride photos were being taken, they were automatically sent to a 52-inch plasma TV that morphed all the photos that had been taken throughout that day. From a custom made application, visitors uploaded their photos to Facebook and were posted to the Faces of Pride Fan page and into people’s photo albums. A great way to flaunt fun portraits from the event and capture the spirit of the day.

After six of the seven events, over 3,500 photos were taken and over 13,000 nametags distributed, plus over 4,000 fans on facebook, and still growing! If you’re in Atlanta on October 31st, swing by Peidmont Park to check out the event.
